Royce 'Buzz' Wheeler

Royce "Buzz" Wheeler died September 10, 2025, at the age of 74. Born August 20, 1951, Buzz was a life-long resident of Baird.
"God looked around His garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest.
With the help of his angels they flew you to your heavenly place."

Buzz was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Robbins, and sister Nelda Keith.
He is survived by his sister, Jody Rogersm and a cousin, Mary Helen Nurmi of Abilene.
Thank you to Homestead Nursing and Rehab of Baird for providing him care and making his last few years very happy. Thank you to Visiting Angels Hospice Care for taking such special care of him these last weeks of his life. And finally, Thank you to Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home in Baird for carrying out his final wishes to have his body donated to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
