Jason Matthew Kent

June 06, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jason Matthew Kent, 54, of Clyde/Baird, Texas, on Monday, May 26, 2025. Jason was an enthusiast of many things. From skydiving to baseball to scuba diving, he brought a spirit of adventure and excitement to all things. Jason loved his family and those around him deeply, always generous with his time, willing to offer his service to others, and showed up for what mattered.
A true handyman, there wasn't much Jason couldn't do when it came to fixing things around the house. He was hardworking, spending the last 15 years at Happy Trails, while also becoming a real estate agent and working at Coldwell Banker Apex. Jason cared about all he did, paying attention to detail and precision, especially when it came to manicuring his lawn.
Jason leaves behind his wife, Kim, of 16 years, his son, Aidan Spurlock, as well as a long list of family and friends.
A Celebration of Life was held in his honor on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Clyde, Texas, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
